Ensconced in the heart of Jalandhar Cantt, amidst clean surroundings, with its own verdant green lawns and aesthetically maintained garden that provides an idyllic setting, KV-1 JRC, emerges as a bastion of education. Since its inception on 1st July 1963, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Jal. has provided quality education to its students.





	To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education; To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Concil of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.





	KVS envisions itself a world class organization in school education committed to continually empowering teachers to actualize inside out synergy in students and enable them to fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations.

*KV 1 gets accredition from British Council and won the International School Award

* 100% result in Science, Commerce and Arts stream in class XII CBSE exam 2012-13.

*Students came out with flying colours in CBSE exam of Class XII

*Annual function 2013 was held on 4th May 2013. Col Narinder Singh, Nominee Chairman VMC ,91 Sub Area, graced the occassion with his presence.
